Does anyone out there have any specs for the Mk 16 tripod? My rendition of it will appear here soon. I used 2" d.o.m. for the legs and a 6" circle of 1/2" plate for the socket mounting base. I guessed at the dimensions by a crude attempt at scaling a photo. Anyone have any real dimensions?

As you see from this photo I changed the way the legs meet the socket base. This is the way the real ones are and now I know why. Its to make room for thImagee nuts to fasten the socket to the base.

Down with the flu this week. Between chills I'll post these pictures of the two tripods I've made and the cradle and yoke. Bear in mind casters on a tripod isn't a good idea unless its for a replica that gets moved around in the garage! Dad wanted to be able to move it out of the way without a struggle so I put casters on his. The following are pictures of the two mk16 tripods I've put together, in various stages of completion. I'll include the cradle and yoke pics on this samImagee topic.
